Ha Noi issues fields prioritized for investment in 2016-2020

11:00 AM, 02/28/2017

VGP – Ha Noi has approved the list of socio-economic infrastructure fields prioritized for investment in 2016-2020, with the Development Investment Fund of Ha Noi responsible for implementing direct investment and providing investment loans.

Accordingly, priority fields include transport infrastructure; energy; environment; construction or renovation of domestic ports, car station and parking lots as planned; and development of the safe water supply system, the power system and the disposal system for wastewater, waste and emissions.

Also, investment priorities are infrastructure construction projects of industrial zones, industrial clusters, processing zones, economic zones and high-tech zones; development of affordable houses and resettlement buildings; and construction and expansion of hospitals, schools, culture and sport centers and parks.

Resolution No. 18/NQ-HĐND on the middle-term public investment plan, the list of key projects and the list of socio-economic infrastructure fields prioritized for investment in 2016-2020, was approved by the Hanoi People’s Council in late 2016, targeting to improve the efficiency of using public investment capital and optimally mobilize and effectively use development investment capital sources during the period, contributing to basically completing the essential socio-economic infrastructure system in service of the implementation of goals set out in the city’s five-year socio-economic development plan for 2016-2020.

The total middle-term public investment capital from the municipal budget for 2016-2020 is approximately VND135 billion (US$5.94 million) (yet to include the investment capital from local government bonds).
