A Hanoi delegation led by Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee Nguyen Ngoc Tuan inspects the progress of the Ring Road No.4 project.
Chairman of the Hanoi People's Council Nguyen Ngoc Tuan on February 6 visited the Ring Road No.4 construction site in Thuong Tin District, encouraged workers and inspected progress of the project.
During his visit, he urged investors, contractors, and workers to stay on schedule and maintain high-quality and safety standards. He emphasized the importance of completing all components and auxiliary works on time.
According to Nguyen Ngoc Van, Director of the Hanoi Traffic Construction Project Management Board, nearly 99% of land clearance is complete, along with over 99% of tomb relocations.
All 13 resettlement areas are finished, and about 35% of affected households have been relocated. Ten out of 16 high-voltage power crossings have been cleared. Full land clearance is expected in the first quarter of 2025.
Construction is progressing alongside land clearance. After 19 months of work, 32 construction points are active along the route. About 85% of the roadbed filling and 35% of the gravel roadbase are complete. Bridges and culverts are being built simultaneously.
In Me Linh, Dan Phuong, and Hoai Duc districts, about 15 km of asphalt concrete has been laid. The contractor for Package 11 in Thuong Tin District has completed 9.3 km of roadwork, including roadbed filling, weak soil treatment, and river crossing bridges.
The project is about 50% complete, with finalization expected in the fourth quarter of 2025.
The city has issued bidding documents for Component Project 3, with investor selection scheduled for March 7, 2025. The project is set to begin in the second quarter of 2025.
Chairman Nguyen Ngoc Tuan praised the dedication of workers, especially those in Thuong Tin District, for their efforts in completing land clearance.
He highlighted the importance of Ring Road No.4, approved by the National Assembly in 2022, as a key national project, and noticed workers and contractors to complete the project in 2026 and operate it in 2027.
It will enhance economic and social development in Hanoi, surrounding provinces, the Red River Delta, and the Northern Key Economic Region, he said.
The route will also connect major highways and improve links between Hanoi and neighboring provinces, Tuan added.
He acknowledged the contributions of the city's political system, districts, and the public in advancing the project. He also praised workers for their commitment, even during the Lunar New Year, to keep construction on track.
He urged all parties to remain focused, ensure quality and safety, and address any issues promptly.
Construction should continue without delay where land is available, Tuan said.
Acknowledging the chairman's requests, the Hanoi Traffic Construction Project Management Board and contractors for Package 11, including Cienco4 Group, Hoang Long Trading and Construction JSC, and Song Hong JSC, committed to overcoming challenges and completing the project on time.
