Hanoi push for social housing projects in 2025

The Hanoi People's Council during its special session on February 25 unanimously approved adjustments and additions to the list of land recovery projects for 2025 in the city. As a result, new land recovery projects have been added in eight districts, covering a total area of 772.5 hectares.

In Bac Tu Liem District, the Vibex Urban Area project will be developed in the wards of Duc Thang, Dong Ngac, and Thuy Phuong.

Overview of the session. 

In Dong Anh District, several projects have been approved, including the construction of the G15 New Urban Area, the Dong Anh High-End New Urban Area, the G6 New Urban Area, a concentrated social housing project in Tien Duong Commune, and another social housing project in Tien Duong Commune known as Green Link City.

In Long Bien District, a social housing development project will be built on lot HH4 in planning area A4 of the N10 Urban Subdivision Plan in Ngoc Thuy Ward.

In Me Linh District, two projects have been added: the Dai Thinh New Urban Area and the Me Linh High-End New Urban Area.

In Nam Tu Liem District, the South Thang Long Boulevard Urban Functional Zone project will be implemented.

In Soc Son District, two projects have been approved: the Mai Dinh I New Urban Area in Mai Dinh Commune and the C1-9 New Urban Area in Mai Dinh Commune.

In Son Tay Town, the Vien Son New Urban Area project will be developed.

In Thanh Tri District, two projects have been added: the C3-1 New Urban Area in Dai Ang Commune and another new urban area in Lien Ninh Commune.

Regarding funding for land clearance and compensation, projects using the city budget that are already included in Hanoi's public investment plan will be allocated funds in accordance with the city's 2025 budget allocation resolution.

For projects funded by district-level budgets, the respective districts and towns will allocate funds accordingly. For privately funded projects, investors will be responsible for ensuring that land clearance costs are fully covered within the 2025 investment timeline.
