Local authorities prepare for Lunar New Year Festival

VGP – The Ha Noi municipal People’s Committee recently issued Directive 23/CT/UBND on organization of the Lunar New Year Festival (Year of the Rooster) in the city.

The local authorities was determined to create the best conditions for people to welcome the Lunar New Year Festival in a jubilant, safe, warm, and economical manner.

The Directive said thank to great endeavor of the Party, administration, people, and business community, the socio-economic performance obtained positive achievements. Total Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) soared 8.03%, the record high since 2011.

Budget collection was e stimated at VND 173.84 trillion, accounting for 102.6% of forecast. Inflation was put under control. Consumption price index was projected to surge 3.01-3.07% in 2016. Political security and social order were maintained.

In 2017, the city will seriously implement the working theme “the Year of Administrative Discipline” in effort to strengthen disciplines, improve work ethics, attitude and behavior of civil servants./.
