Deputy Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee Duong Duc Tuan on January 24 visited and extended Tet greetings to officials and workers at the construction site of the Ring Road 4 – Capital Region Project.
This is the Subproject 2.1 of the ring road project. Its construction site is located in Song Phuong Commune, Hoai Duc District.
On behalf of the contractors, Nguyen Hoang Hai, Chief Commander of Package No.9 from the Vietnam Construction and Import-Export Corporation (Vinaconex), said that the subproject commenced on June 25, 2023.
After 19 months of implementation, the contractors have executed all four construction packages on the acquired land, covering 48.35 of 52.43 km, with 32 construction teams deployed, he said.
The project has achieved 85.01% completion of roadbed sand filling, 62.27% of K95 and K98 embankment compaction, and approximately 35.04% of crushed stone base course placement, Hai said.
Bridge, culvert, and other structural works are being carried out concurrently, he added.
In Me Linh, Dan Phuong, and Hoai Duc districts, about 15 out of 31 km of asphalt pavement has been completed. As of now, over 98.4% of land clearance has been completed, with only around 13 hectares yet to be handed over.
Construction will continue until January 25 before pausing for the Tet holiday. Work will resume on February 3, and contractors commits to operating three shifts a day to ensure the completion of the parallel roads by the end of this year.
Deputy Chairman Tuan praised the engineers and workers for their dedication and resilience over the past 1.5 years to achieve 50% of the contract value and 10% of the 2025 plan.
He urged all units to continue their efforts to complete the remaining road and bridge sections and meet the goal of opening the parallel roads of Ring Road No.4 by year-end.
Following the site visit, Deputy Chairman Tuan visited and extended Tet greetings to officials and workers of the Hanoi Green Park Limited Company.

Company Chairman Vu Duc Tho said that 2024 was a challenging year due to extreme weather conditions, especially Typhoon Yagi – the most unprecedented storm in over 30 years.
Despite these difficulties, the company accomplished all of its political and business tasks assigned by the city, according to Tho.
Total revenue was VND259 billion (US$10 million), surpassing the annual target by over 29%. The company contributed VND24.8 billion (nearly $977,000) to the state budget, exceeding the full-year target by 64.5%.
The after-tax profit reached VND16.8 billion ($661,600), 26% higher than the planned figure, and the average monthly income of workers increased slightly compared to 2023, reaching VND9.5 million ($374) per person.
Deputy Chairman Tuan acknowledged 2024 as a successful year for the company, with comprehensive achievements.
He commended the company's capability in handling the aftermath of Typhoon Yagi, which caused extensive tree damage across the city.
The company must find ways to standardize all procedures and regulations, improve responses to large-scale unexpected incidents affecting the urban greenery system, and refine annual tree pruning processes to ensure technical accuracy, safety, and aesthetics for the city, Tuan said.
He also asked the company to standardize cost norms, resolve emerging challenges, and enhance landscape greenery in key locations, particularly in areas housing central government agencies in the capital.
The company must hold a pivotal role in transforming Hanoi's urban landscape as part of the implementation of the Capital Law and major planning initiatives, the deputy chairman said.
The goal is to develop Hanoi into a "Cultured – Civilized – Modern" city with green and smart urban spaces, comparable to the capitals of developed countries in the region and the world, he added.
