Newly-elected Standing Committee of the Hanoitourist Party Committee introduced to all members.
The Party Committee of the Hanoi Tourism Corporation (Hanoitourist) on June 20 held its 10th Congress for the 2025-2030 term.
The event was attended by Nguyen Manh Quyen, Member of the Hanoi Party Committee and Deputy Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee, and Pham Quang Thanh, Member of the Presidium of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, Member of the Hanoi Party Committee, and Chairman of the Hanoi Labor Federation.
A total of 117 official delegates represented nearly 400 party members of the corporation's Party Committee.
According to the political report presented at the Congress, the Party Committee of Hanoitourist has maintained a strong sense of unity, proactivity, and creativity, overcome challenges to safeguard workers' livelihoods, sustained business operations, and affirmed the corporation's role as a core force in the development of Hanoi's tourism sector.
From 2020 to 2024, the corporation achieved total revenue of VND7.8 trillion (US$298.6 million), fulfilling 111.5% of the target for the term.
It contributed VND1.5 trillion ($58 million) to the state budget (86% of the target), generated VND2.4 trillion ($91 million) in profits (130.5% of the target), and maintained an average monthly income of VND11.5 million ($440) per employee.
The corporation made significant progress in infrastructure investments, including the renovation of the Hanoitourist Building and the upgrade of the No.1 Ba Trieu Building, which now spans 3,000 square meters.
It also completed the first phase of upgrading the Hoa Binh Hotel and continued to implement projects such as the Pullman Quang Binh five-star hotel and a multifunctional entertainment complex with a horse racing track.
The company actively promoted its Hanoitourist brand by participating in 66 domestic and international promotion events.
These efforts introduced the corporation's services to partners in Hanoi, across Vietnam, and abroad, reinforcing its reputation and capabilities in the tourism service sector.
The corporation also focused on developing its internal market by encouraging collaboration among subsidiaries to share services and products, optimize resources, and strengthen inter-unit linkages.
This strategy supported diversified services and market expansion, particularly within the internal corporate network, creating a favorable business environment for all units.
In Party building efforts, the corporation emphasized political, ideological, and ethical development, with innovative approaches tailored to its business context.
It consistently aligned with the campaign to study and follow the ideology, ethics, and lifestyle of President Ho Chi Minh.
The company's Party Committee identified business development as a central task and Party building as the key to success.
Between 2020 and 2024, the Party Committee sent 14 officials to advanced political theory courses, 11 cadres to training sessions for city-level management, and 21 officials to national defense and security training.
It also organized six awareness courses for 164 prospective Party members and admitted 67 new members – 112% of the term target set by the Hanoi Party Committee.
Deputy Chairman Nguyen Manh Quyen praised the corporation's efforts in overcoming adversity and achieving its targets.
He said that despite the difficulties caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, Hanoi's economy, especially its tourism sector, has shown remarkable resilience.
The deputy chairman acknowledged the corporation's positive contributions to the capital's recovery and growth.
Looking ahead, Quyen called on the corporation to continue working closely with the city to sustain growth and contribute to economic development in the new era.
He emphasized the need to focus on both domestic and international tourism markets, with an emphasis on attracting high-quality international tourists rather than merely increasing numbers.
Deputy Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee Nguyen Manh Quyen speaks at the event.
According to Quyen, to achieve this, the corporation must lead efforts in restructuring its international market strategy, developing new tourism products, and revitalizing existing ones with greater appeal and local identity.
Examples include revamping the Red River tour and enhancing workforce training to build a team capable of competing regionally and globally.
The Congress also set out seven main tasks and solutions for business development and five major solutions for Party building for the 2025-2030 term.
Delegates reviewed achievements from the previous term, discussed development orientations, and contributed feedback to the draft documents for the 14th National Party Congress, the 1st Congress of the Party Committee of the Hanoi People's Committee, and the 5th Congress of the Hanoitourist Party Committee.
Sixteen members were elected to the new Party Executive Committee. At its first session, Nguyen Van Dung – former Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the Members' Council of Hanoi Tourism Corporation – was re-elected as Secretary for the 2025-2030 term.
Five delegates were also elected to attend the first Congress of the Hanoi People's Committee Party Committee.
With the spirit of unity, intelligence, dedication, professionalism, and efficiency, the 5th Congress of the Party Committee of Hanoitourist successfully concluded.
The event marked the beginning of a new phase of growth, with the goal of establishing the corporation as one of Vietnam's leading tourism enterprises and contributing significantly to Hanoi's and the nation's socio-economic development.
