In the first six months of 2025, Kinh te & Do thi successfully fulfilled its mandate to communicate the policies of the Party, the laws of the State, and the directions of the Hanoi government.
The newspaper closely followed and reported on major national and local political developments, activities of the National Assembly and the Hanoi People's Council, and key decisions and initiatives of the Hanoi Party Committee and People's Committee.
Editorial coverage included key national commemorative events and the implementation of Party resolutions, particularly those related to administrative reforms and the restructuring of government institutions under the 13th Party Central Committee.
The paper also provided timely reporting on developments in economics, finance, tourism, industry, culture, and society.
Its improvements in both content and presentation have contributed positively to the overall progress of Hanoi and the nation.
Kinh te & Do thi successfully collaborated with various partners to organize 19 communication events in the first half of the year.
Among the most important events included the Dong Da Mound Festival, the first Kinh te & Do thi Pickleball Tournament 2025, a seminar on the use of artificial intelligence in smart newsroom management, and a forum series held in Hanoi, Quang Tri, and Ho Chi Minh City titled "Press and Businesses Together for Sustainable Development in the Era of National Resurgence."
The newspaper also partnered with local authorities and businesses to support numerous meaningful social initiatives.
Significantly, Kinh te & Do thi has been recognized as a leading media outlet in digital transformation.
In 2024, the Ministry of Information and Communications (now the Ministry of Science and Technology) certified the newspaper for its outstanding digital performance, and the Hanoi government has designated it as a model for digital transformation in journalism.
At the conference, Deputy Chairman Dung awarded commendations to collectives and individuals at Kinh te & Do thi for their exceptional contributions in the 2023–2024 emulation movement.
He emphasized that in the second half of 2025, the newspaper must focus on key priorities to further improve its operations and reinforce its position as a major press agency in the capital.
He urged the paper to accelerate digital transformation in management and publishing, optimize its converged newsroom model, invest in IT infrastructure, and expand partnerships with tech firms to enhance its online and multimedia platforms.
Dung also called for continued innovation in content and format across print and digital products, with special focus on key Party directives, national strategies, and the upcoming Party Congresses.
The newspaper was also tasked with streamlining its internal structure, ensuring organizational stability, and maintaining financial health to provide timely income for staff.
The Deputy Chairman encouraged efforts to sustain and grow circulation, boost digital advertising, and host events and forums on the economy, environment, and sports to strengthen the brand's visibility.
He highlighted the need for the newspaper to build special editions for major holidays and effectively implement digital transformation projects, IT upgrades, and multimedia platform development, aligning with Hanoi's path toward sustainable development.

Speaking at the conference, Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Thanh Loi, Editor-in-Chief of Kinh te & Do thi, proudly noted that in 2025 the newspaper won three National Press Awards.
He described this achievement as a testament to the relentless dedication of its journalists and editors, and a source of motivation to uphold the newspaper's core mission as Hanoi's leading media voice.
In the face of rapid advancements in digital technology and innovation, the newspaper has taken proactive steps toward modernization, aiming to become a national example in media digitalization.
Loi also expressed the hope that the city's leadership would continue to provide strong support so the newspaper's team could maximize their capacity and contribute meaningfully to the mission of revolutionary journalism.
He acknowledged the significant challenges posed by the recent transition from a three-tier to a two-tier local government structure, which has adversely affected the newspaper's circulation and operations.
In response, the editorial board has proposed that the city help facilitate appropriate solutions to stabilize operations, uphold its role as a reliable information source, and contribute to the capital's sustainable growth.
Loi reaffirmed that Kinh te & Do thi would continue to uphold its tradition of innovation and remain committed to fulfilling all assigned political duties, living up to the trust of the Party and the people of Hanoi.
