Hanoi operates two bus routes connecting Huong Pagoda

Currently, there are two subsidized bus routes in the capital connecting to Huong Pagoda in My Duc District, with a fare of US$0.80 per trip. These are bus routes 103A and 103B, both operated by the Hanoi Transport Corporation (Transerco).

Specifically, bus route 103A runs from My Dinh Bus Station to Huong Son. The outbound route follows My Dinh Bus Station – Pham Hung – Khuat Duy Tien – To Huu – Mo Lao – Nguyen Van Loc – Nguyen Trai – Tran Phu (Ha Dong) – Phung Hung (Ha Dong) – Phuc La, Van Phu – Southern Axis Road (Cienco 5) – Song Ai Road – Provincial Road 427B – National Highway 21B – Provincial Road 424 (Provincial Road 76) – Provincial Road 419 – Huong Son (Duc Khe Bus Station, Huong Son Commune, My Duc District). The return route follows Huong Son (Duc Khe Bus Station, Huong Son Commune, My Duc District) – Provincial Road 419 (through My Duc District) – Te Tieu Bridge – Provincial Road 424 – National Highway 21B – Provincial Road 427B – Song Ai Road – Southern Axis Road (Cienco 5) – Phuc La, Van Phu – Phung Hung (Ha Dong) – Tran Phu (Ha Dong) – Nguyen Trai – Nguyen Van Loc – Vu Trong Khanh – To Huu – Khuat Duy Tien – Pham Hung – U-turn at Pham Hung and Ton That Thuyet intersection – Pham Hung – My Dinh Bus Station. The service operates from 5:00 AM to 8:30 PM, with a frequency of every 15 to 25 minutes, and a fare of $0.80 per trip.

The return route follows Huong Son (Duc Khe Bus Station, Huong Son Commune, My Duc District) – Provincial Road 74 (Duc Khe Bridge, Hong Quang) – National Highway 21B – Provincial Road 427B – Song Ai Road – Southern Axis Road (Cienco 5) – connecting road from Southern Axis Road to Provincial Road 427B (through Tam Hung Commune, Thanh Oai District) – Van Khe (Ha Dong) – Quang Trung (Ha Dong) – Van Phuc – To Huu – Khuat Duy Tien – Pham Hung – My Dinh Bus Station. The service operates from 5:08 AM to 8:40 PM, with a frequency of every 17, 20, or 25 minutes, and a fare of $0.80 per trip.

According to Transerco, during the Huong Pagoda Festival, which starts on the sixth day of the Lunar New Year, the route remains unchanged. However, both bus lines will not reach their final stops but will turn around earlier. Specifically, bus route 103A will stop 1.8 kilometers from the final stop, while bus route 103B will stop 0.7 kilometers from the final stop, as directed by the My Duc District People's Committee to prevent traffic congestion during the festival. Passengers who wish to continue to the final destination will need to transfer to electric shuttle vehicles.

The Huong Pagoda Festival is the longest-running festival in Vietnam. In 2025, it will take place over three months, from February 3 to May 1, corresponding to the sixth day of the Lunar New Year to the fourth day of the fourth lunar month of the Year of the Snake. The festival serves the needs of visitors and worshippers at the start of the year. The official opening ceremony is scheduled for February 3, 2025, at Thien Tru – Huong Pagoda. On peak days, the event is expected to attract tens of thousands of visitors from across the country.
