Hanoi kicks off clean-up drive ahead of National Day

Vice Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee Nguyen Trong Dong on August 16 signed Official Dispatch No. 4622/UBND-NNMT on the implementation of Directive No. 134/CĐ-TTg dated August 13, 2025, issued by the Prime Minister.

The official dispatch stated that, in compliance with the Prime Minister's Directive No. 134/CĐ-TTg on strengthening waste collection, environmental protection, and sanitation nationwide in preparation for the 80th National Day on September 2, the Hanoi People's Committee requires all municipal departments, agencies, commune and ward-level People's Committees, and relevant units to urgently implement the Prime Minister's directive. 

At the same time, the city must continue carrying out tasks on maintaining urban order and ensuring environmental sanitation as outlined in the City People's Committee's Plan No. 202/KH-UBND and Directive No. 11/CĐ-CT of the Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee.

The Department of Agriculture and Environment is assigned to take the lead in inspecting and urging relevant units to implement these tasks. The department must ensure that all instructions from the Prime Minister, the City People's Committee, and the Chairman of the City People's Committee under the directives and plans mentioned above are carried out in a coordinated, timely, comprehensive, serious, and effective manner.
