The event is held in celebration of the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution (August 19, 1945 – August 19, 2025) and the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 – September 2, 2025).
The plan aims to express gratitude and pay tribute to the contributions of revolutionary veterans, national contributors, and former leaders of the city. It also seeks to inspire patriotism and unity in the ongoing development of the country. The event will be organized in a respectful, thoughtful, and effective manner.
The gathering is scheduled for August 14, 2025, at the Hall of the Hanoi Capital High Command, located at No. 8 Pham Hung Street, Yen Hoa Ward, Cau Giay District. Approximately 450 delegates are expected to attend, including current and former leaders of the Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hanoi; revolutionary veterans; representatives of the Hoang Dieu Viet Minh soldiers; and other outstanding contributors.
The Hanoi People's Committee has assigned specific responsibilities to various departments. The Department of Home Affairs will take the lead in organizing the event, preparing gifts, managing the guest list, sending invitations, and overseeing logistics.
The Hanoi Capital High Command will provide the venue, arrange logistics, host the reception, and ensure area security. The Department of Culture and Sports will coordinate the cultural performance program and venue decorations. The Department of Health will ensure medical support and food safety.
The Hanoi Police and Power Corporation will maintain public order, fire safety, and power supply. Hanoi Radio and Television, along with local newspapers, will handle media coverage, documentary production, and news reporting. Finally, district-level People's Committees will review and select outstanding delegates, send invitations, and arrange transportation for attendees.
